About
People-centred strategy. Lasting organizational change.
Ojong People & Strategy Group was founded on a simple conviction: sustainable transformation begins with understanding people: their motivations, their dynamics and their potential.
Who we are
Ojong People & Strategy Group is a Calgary-based consultancy that helps mid-to-large organizations navigate change, strengthen leadership, improve workforce effectiveness and translate business priorities into practical results. We work across Canada with HR leaders and executives in sectors including energy, government, telecommunications and non-profit.
Our work spans change management, organizational design, HR advisory, fractional CHRO support, people strategy and project management for people-focused initiatives.
Why the firm exists
Successful transformation requires more than introducing new systems or developing strategic plans. It requires understanding people, building trust, aligning leadership and creating the conditions for sustainable change. We want our work to be measured not only by the strategies we recommend, but by the positive and lasting improvements those strategies help create.
Our founder
The firm was founded by Nelson Ojong, who arrived in Canada as a refugee a decade ago and built a career in people strategy, change management and organizational transformation. He holds an M.A. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Adler University, is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner and a Project Management Professional, and has championed diversity, equity and inclusion through the DEI Committee at CLAS Calgary since 2016.
What we believe
Transforming people. Strengthening organizations.
People and strategy together
Organizations become stronger when people and strategy move together. We never treat the human side as an afterthought.
Evidence over fashion
Our work draws on Industrial-Organizational Psychology research and proven change frameworks, not the latest buzzword.
Built to be implemented
We design solutions that are rigorous and practical, and we stay to help deliver them.
Inclusion as practice
Organizations perform better when they recognize people's potential, remove unnecessary barriers and let people from different backgrounds thrive.
